概要： 1993年のペルセウス座流星群出現の際、西はりま天文台において流星からの電波エコーの観測を試みた。観測には、約480km離れたところから送信されているFM東京の電波(80.0MHz)、及び約160km離れた滋賀県信楽町にあるMUレーダーからの電波(46.5MHz)を利用した。8月12日から13日の約1日間について各1時間毎の流星エコーの個数を計測したところ、46.5MHzと80.0MHzのエコー個数は良く似た時間変化を示した。信楽では、各エコーについて強度及び反射高度の計測が行われた。西はりま天文台のデータと信楽のデータを比較したところ、西はりま天文台で受信されたエコー個数変化は信楽で受信されたエコーのうち高度が高いもの(>95km)及び強度の高いもの(>25dB)の個数変化と相関が良いことがわかった。

概要： We performed a Hartmann test of the 60cm reflector at Nishi-Harima Astronomical Observatory in May 4, 1993. Two months later, however, the optical instruments were replaced and improved. So, we again measured the Hartmann constant in November 16, 1993. The Hartmann constant is 0.9 arcseconds in the first time, while it is 0.3 arcseconds in the second time. Hence, the optical system is improved well. We also performed the simulation of aberration produced by the error in positionning a sub-mirror and compared it with the measurements. We found that the present optical system is in fair arrangement.

概要： CCD photometric observations of the open cluster NGC 7790 have been carried out using the 60-cm reflector at the Nishi-Harima Astronomical Observatory. Images were obtained with a CCD camera through wide-band BVRc filters. Color equations are solved using 10 photometric standard stars given in Christian, et al. (1985, PASP, 97, 363) and the transformation coefficients have been obtained.
